Jaqui's Birthday at the Indi Bar - Toby and Code Red and Micadelic.

Jaqui had her 22nd birthday down at the Indi Bar in Scarbrough last night. It was good to see all the crew, it's been ages. A band called Toby and Code Red were launching their debut album and played a fairly awsome set or three. Their sound could best be described as rootsy/folk/blues. Think The Waifs and you will be heading down the right path. They are playing on Wednesday at the Paddington Alehouse on Wednesday at 7.45 if anyone is interested. Well worth checking out.

Supporting Toby were Micadelic, a three piece hiphop outfit sans decks. They put on an awsome display of human beatboxing and really impressed me. The female third of the team, Sian, had some really tight kick drum sounds. They don't have a web site yet, but said they will have one soon, so I'll post a link when i find it.
