No More Smokes :-(
Me and Ida quit smoking on Friday. It's been a hard last few days. I nearly beat the VCR into submission last night. Grr.
We went to the Flickerfest Short Film Festival with Austin and Asia on Saturday night. It was at Camelot Outdoor Cinemas in Mosman Park. Although it was a tad cold and the chairs were a little uncomfortable we had a good night watching movies, drinking beers and eating hot wood-fired pizzas. You can see a run down of all the films we saw here, I think everyone agreed that the best one was "Il Sorriso Di Diana" (Diana's Smile), the story of a spider who falls in love with a woman who moves into his abode. It was real funny and had some good effects.
I also liked the one called "Malcolm". It was about this bloke whose a bit of a loser with no cash and he wants to give his son a present on his birthday so he goes and gets a shitty job. He buys the kid some lego but then on his way over to his ex's house he leaves the present on the bus. What a dumb-ass!! It was really quite a sad movie, but i thought it was alright.
