DAMMIT
I missed out on getting a ticket to Salmonella Dub, God damnit. They oversold the show and weren't letting people with tickets in. Always a stupid thing to do really. I ended up going round to Damo's for a while and having a beer and I'm pretty tired right now.
The good news is that there is a heap of cool acts coming to town over the next couple of months. Heres a quick run down of what I'm looking forwards to.
SONIKA few crew have been mentioning this in the past few days. It's reasonably priced at $30, and no doubt cheaper with the essential industry tickets. The maestro, LTJ Bukem and his vocal sidekick MC Conrad are headlining. They also have Stacey Pullen in the techno room and Makoto from Japan playing some DnB. It all goes down next Saturday, the 28th of June.
JOHN BUTLER TRIO
They are back in town for a few shows at Metros in Freo on Thursday the 24th and Friday the 25th of July. I haven't seen them for a few years and have been listening to them a lot lately. Hopefully I can find someone whose up for a trip to the docks.
1200 TECHNIQUES
will be ripping it up on Friday the 1st of August at the Globe supported by Motion Man and KutMasta Kurt. I havn't heard much of their stuff but they come well recommended. I'm sure I would know a few of their tracks, if not by name.
So there's a few things to put down in your diary if your keen. Hopefully I'll make it to a few of them.
